A WINTER DAILY FACE CARE ROUTINE FOR RADIANT, HEALTHY, BEAUTIFUL LOOKING SKIN
As winter draws on, the dull skies and cold weather can really take its toll on our delicate skin.
Now one solution may be to move to Barbados or to constantly wear a balaclava but a more practical way to protect and nurture your skin is with a good Skin Care Routine.
Here are some tips to help you look as healthy and as vibrant as you do in the Summer.
Use a Gently Exfoliating Face Wash.
The first step to my morning skin care routine is to wash my face with a gentle yet exfoliating face wash.
This removes old, dull skin cells from the surface of the skin which cause dryness and clogged pores leading to blemishes.
Exfoliating will leave your skin glowing and also helps your moisturiser to absorb more deeply into the skin.
You could try using Clarins Exfoliating Refiner Cream with Microbeads. I particularly love this product because of its rich, creamy texture which feels particularly nourishing for my skin during the harsh winter months when cold winds and constant central heating takes its toll. It also uses natural microbeads, not those nasty plastic microbes which are harmful to the environment.
Quench Your skins Thirst
Aloe Vera has always been an important part of my skin care routine. It is a great moisturiser for both Dry and Oily skin, as it is very hydrating but doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin.
As my skin tends to be dry, especially in the winter months I mix it with a bit of Face Oil such as Neales yard Orange Flower Facial
Oil, Sweet Almond Oil or even Olive Oil. Aloe Vera penetrates very deeply so your face needs to be squeaky clean before you apply it.
Aloe Vera is also known for it Antioxidant, Antiseptic, Anti-Inflammatory and Antimicrobial properties, with all of this anti bad stuff going on it is great for combatting Acne and Pimples.
And if all of that isn’t enough; It is rich in Vitamins A, C and E, which can help with fighting premature aging. Seriously, this magic natural Gel has got it going on and I wouldn’t be without it!!
Give your face some extra love with a Nice Rich Cream
During the Winter Months I also like to massage into my face Clarins Hydra-Essential Day Care Cream, which feels so
quenching with its rich and creamy texture. Although, it doesn’t have an SPF which is a bit disappointing, however, my foundation with built in SPF can sort that little problem out.
Now my skin after this little lot feels amazing, looks radiant and is ready for my makeup!! Happy Days Titty x
